Wind chimes are a great way to set a peaceful vibe to your front yard, backyard, balcony or patio. It’s like a mini concert that you can watch and listen to anytime of the day, hosted by the ultimate conductor – wind. Wind chimes not only make a beautiful sound when the wind is blowing, but looks beautiful doing so as well. It is almost as if a outdoor wind chime creates a visual for something we cannot see and masks the sometimes scary gusts of wind with angelic echo’s of chiming instead.
Perhaps I am being too poetic over something as simple as a wind chime but they also are a great gift idea. Why? Well, when considering my cheesy observations in the intro, you can see that they leave a lot of room for interpretation and symbolism.
I recently received a wind chime as a gift and it is definitely one of my all-time favorite gifts I have ever received because of how it was presented to me. I was moving into a new apartment, living alone, and was dealing with a lot of loneliness. A dear friend of mine not only helped me move but also gave me a wind chime. She said something like, “When you hear this wind chime, know I am thinking of you and love you”, and instantly each time the wind blew, I had a constant reminder that I wasn’t truly alone.
It is the little things in life, like wind chimes that can make a big difference in our lives in the simplest and purest ways. I think that is kind of amazing, so that is what brought me here to this moment right now, sharing this with you. And it is also why I am about to share some of my favorite wind chimes available online.

With this adorable wind chime, bees actually look kinda cute and approachable, unlike how vicious they can be in real life when they literally give me multiple mini heart attacks every single summer. 😂

I like this one because although it is unique in the sense that it doesn’t look like your typical outdoor wind chime with lots of long, hanging chimes. Instead, there are some small chimes at the bottom creating a more subtle sound without sacrificing a pretty appearance. 💜
7. No Soliciting Bullets Wind Chime
If you’re into strong messages dangling by your door, look no further. Those solicitors will start sweating “bullets” as they step off your porch faster than you can say “GET OFF MY LAWN”. 😃
8. Angel Harp Wind Chime
Wind chimes don’t always have to be hanging from your porch top! There are stunning ones like this that do the trick just as well. This one is heavenly and probably gives a real harp some competition with the sound it makes.

Bright & colorful just how I like em! The only problem this wind chime would bring you is reminding you of the song “Peacock” by Katy Perry, which changes the way you see peacocks forever – including the song getting stuck in your head every time anyone even mentions one. 😂

One of the more cuter outdoor wind chimes on this list because of the pretty collusion of pink and purple! <3
While writing up this post I realized how limited the selection of wind chimes truly are. I feel like there are so many awesome possibilities to all the creativity that can be put into designing them! So, I hope that more wind chime makers will come out of hiding and show their wildest creations! Or perhaps I am looking in the wrong place.
